The Sequoia Century 2023 is continuing our tradition as a Challengingly Beautiful cycling experience with the simple goal to raise funds for local cycling-centric entities and the three Coastside organizations.

For the 2023 event, we are offering 3 well-supported route options from a mellow 57 miles, to a more vigorous 76 miles and the iconic 101 mile route with over 10,000 feet of gain!

This year’s one-day Sunday event will include: The Foothill College Start & Finish with free parking, mechanic support, am snacks and coffee! All 3 routes are marked with RouteArrows and strategically placed rest stop locations with SAG and Radio coverage. You’ll have route maps and cue sheets available, as well as Ride with GPS downloads with existing stores and parks highlighted. And at the finish line we’ll have our famous ice-cold chocolate milk and a deliciously festive hot meal.

The Sequoia Century 2022 is continuing our tradition as a Challengingly Beautiful cycling experience with the simple goal to raise funds for local cycling-centric entities and the three Coastside organizations and all registrations include a custom Voler jersey!

For the 2022 event, we are offering 3 well-supported route options from a mellow 57 miles, to a more vigorous 68 miles and the iconic 101 mile route with over 10,000 feet of gain!

This year’s one-day Sunday event will include: The Foothill College Start & Finish with free parking, mechanic support, am snacks and coffee! The Sequoi-tual 2021 is a hybrid virtual / DIY cycling experience with a simple goal: to raise funds for three coastside organizations and other cycling-centric causes while also offering the cycling community “a light at the end of the tunnel” that just happens to be Challengingly Beautiful! Our plan is to offer a “semi-supported” basic route that includes: route marking with RouteArrows, a map and cue sheet with route info noting existing stores and infrastructure and a very cool commemorative jersey by Voler, all included in the registration fee. If the total number of registrants allows, more route and community support ingredients might be provided. There will be no SAG support or manned rest stops since these are not an option for mid-2021. All registered Sequoi-tual participant will be kept informed as additional details become available.

The Sequoia Century begins in Los Altos Hills, CA. This epic 100.2 mile journey has an impressive ten thousand ft of gain! You’ll enjoy miles of redwood forested climbs and descents, vast ridge top vistas, cool creek-side canyons and bucolic coastal agricultural lands. This route provides well staffed and supported rest stops, and the quiet coastal towns of La Honda, San Gregorio and Pescadero. There are at least three “bail-out” options to test your tenacity and resolve, and we’ll have our “Fun Finish” with ice-cold chocolate milk, vendors, music and a hearty meal at our shaded site at Foothill College to complete your amazing day!
