Mountains to Desert Ride

 
 
From the high mountains of Telluride to the spectacular desert landscape of Gateway, CO, the Mountains to Desert Ride is a beautiful race that serves as the single fundraising event for the Just for Kids Foundation. Cyclists descend past hillsides of quaking aspens along a route that passes through millions of years of geologic record, ultimately finding themselves at the base of striated sandstone cliffs reaching up to 1,000 feet overhead. Those who choose to push on past Gateway for the longer distance rides will climb into the beautiful Unaweep Canyon. All fundraising benefits the Just for Kids Foundation. Every dollar raised is generously matched 100% by the Carstens Family Fund at the Denver Foundation.
